I’m not diabetic but my Mom is. I got this book for her, but I also wanted to loose weight. The recipes are healthy and tasty and I did loose 6 lbs the 1st week. I’m on week 2, we’ll see what happens.

This book is great! Most of the recipes are very simple to make and most of the ingredients easy to find at Walmart or Albertson’s. I am truly impressed. The way of counting carbs is so simple and easy to follow. It really doesn’t seem like you’re giving up a lot of things for eating only salads. This is a way of eating that is realistic and very tasty. All the meals are plant based, so no meat, fish, eggs or diary on these recipes. But I really don’t feel deprived of anything. A relative on mine has gotten their glucose levels within normal limits in 2 weeks only. I think it’s a great book for eating healthy whether you have diabetes or not.

This book is amazing!! The information is wonderful and the recipes are easy to follow and make. The menu is great and the portions leave you full and satisfied. Another tip – eat 1 oz of raw nuts (especially walnuts and almonds) at least 5 days/week after breakfast. I also exercise at least 5 days/week. I do not have diabetes (the silent killer), but it runs in my family. Therefore, I thought I would be proactive and live a lifestyle which reduces my chances of developing the disease. I would recommend this book to anyone, even those who are not plagued by diabetes!!
